The more I learn about creativity, psychology and how our beautiful brain works, the less interested I am in teaching people how to make “good art.” I’m much more interested in what happens to us while we’re making it.

When our hands are busy creating, we slow down. Our attention shifts to what’s in front of us. We explore, make choices, solve little problems, use our imagination and give our minds a break from constantly taking things in. We practise flexibility when things don’t go as planned. Express things we may not have words for. We build confidence in our own ideas and learn there isn’t always one “right” answer. We connect with ourselves and with others. And often, we simply feel calmer afterwards.

Reasons, why I keep coming back to this in my work: the creative process matters more than the finished piece. Especially when I work with children and women 🫶🏻

I love to create art that becomes part of everyday life. Not something that waits for a special occasion. Something you use for morning coffee, dinner with friends or a completely ordinary Sunday. Something that would remind you that each day is very special and you should celebrate each beautiful moment. Always 🫶🏻

Please don’t be scared to use it! Use it daily! For any occasion. For a simple daily moments, for your cup of tea or a snack. For you candle or a table centrepiece.

From the original art collection and functional art pieces (mini art/ lights) to commissions. Always including nature elements from my walks in the desert, hikes, hours spent at the beach and in the water. It has become my signature style; textured, detailed, using various mediums and techniques. Sometimes I spend hours trying to get the specific colour or texture that I have in mind. Recreating that feeling, that idea. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. No shortcuts 🫶🏻

Try being bored for a little while. On purpose. Go for a walk without your phone, music or anything filling the silence. Just walk, look around, notice things and let your mind wander.

Some of my best creative ideas come when I’m not actually trying to think of any.

A little empty space gives creativity room to show up, your wonderful brain starts to make new creative connections, imagine & reset 😉
