This is one of my favourite things that I have ever made.
Not only are angler fish super cool in general - imagine living in the deepest depths of the oceans - but what we picture when we talk about anglerfish are the females. That's right, the big, scary-looking badasses of the deep ocean are the ladies of the species. Male angler fish are much smaller and do not have the lure. The females also do all the hunting. Talk about girl power!
There are also more than 200 species of anglerfish, and they live at various depths, not just the deep, scary bits!
So, cool fish facts aside, this project was something that came to me when I discovered Lion Brand Yarn DIY Glow at Spotlight. As soon as I saw it, I had to make one of these fierce females with it! Paired with Flinders Cotton in 8ply, she looks amazing.
