rip Dolly 💖

I just read the news Dolly Parton has left the earth.
I knew she was gearing up to leave us via her songs and ramped up creative ventures, so I named my dog Dolly Pupton because I always want Dolly by my side.

I’ve adored her music ever since I was a little girl, throughout my teens when country wasn’t cool and beyond when I was a single mum existing on the pittance writers make, and asking myself ‘What would Dolly do?’

Her business mind was extraordinary and I learned from her that smiling, and being kind and funny is a superpower with difficult people
💖
I loved how she bypassed the social restrictions of her gender by allowing men to objectify her and then taking her own path and power to the bank and beyond before they could lift their eyes from her cleavage.
💖
And … she encouraged children to hold, hug and read books. Millions of them.
💖
She is my iconic idol.
💖
Thank Goddess the world had Dolly walk upon it and amongst us for a time.

We are all blessed by her life.
