Quiet mornings and soft colour - I love this wall colour so much. The intent was to make this bedroom a sanctuary, eliminating visual noise with minimalism, subtle layers of texture, and a monotone colour palette of soft greeny blue grey.

It feels quite unusual to post feedback written about myself - but these words from my client were so lovely. One thing I love about my work is the personal connections with people, and their stories.. read on for a little more about Caulfield North..

The property I purchased in 2011 became the first place I ever called home. I loved it the moment I stepped through the doorway on the first inspection. It was always the plan to renovate but life got in the way and it had to wait.

Fast forward to 2019 and I was finally ready to give my home the facelift it deserved. But the task felt daunting, and somewhat overwhelmed as I had no prior experience with renovating.

As fortune would have it I was introduced to Jacinta, who then came on the journey with me. Jacinta was an absolute pleasure from the get go, she was patient, warm, creative and full of practical solutions. She understood how to maximise spending without compromising look and feel, and gently encouraged me to make bold choices where appropriate instead of playing it safe.

I learnt so much and loved the process. It was so wonderful to have her support and expertise. Jacinta understood the assignment and helped me bring it to life. Thank you so much! Anne, Caulfield North

Early morning light in the studio -

I always make time for slow mornings on the weekend, and catching natural sunlight in the morning has many health benefits. It’s been proven to set your body’s natural clock, and help numerous brain activities such as alertness, helping mood and vitality..

I’m always aware of how the light moves through my home throughout the day. The same goes for my designs with my clients. Where does the sun come in? And what ambience does this create? How can we enhance the beautiful shadows and texture in this space?

AMBI - A slow Sunday morning before a site visit today. Little miss Ruby, who desperately needs a trim, taking liberties on the couch. Before I kicked her off the colour lover in me thought I would capture how her beautiful coat fits in with my colour theory.

AMBI Project - I am loving this picture taken by my client of the main bedroom in Caulfield North. Ambience and the feel of this space was at the centre of our colour design. Using the clients already beautiful collection of furniture, and adding a contemporary lamp. We achieved a layered design. The clients worldly and slightly eclectic style was the focus, tailoring the interior to her transition in life and style.

The carpet is a dream to walk on, and brings depth and grounds the room. Wool loop pile has an amazing texture, encompassing the feel of comfort you want in a main bedroom, a space to unwind and feel contained and comfortable.

I can’t wait to share more of this project!
