Come and join the club! ⭐️ Our writing club is a space for you to relax and spend some time tinkering, journaling, perfecting, dreaming, starting and restarting whatever it is that you want to put into words.

Held every second Tuesday evening throughout June and July at Riverbend Books, we will have snacks, hot drinks and wine, as well as a few little gifts (because what kind of club would it be otherwise?).

There is ZERO pressure to share anything, ever. We understand that rough drafts and bad beginnings are just as important as a polished piece, and that sometimes what you write is just for you.

We will have prompts and short readings centred around that fortnight’s theme, plenty of reading suggestions for you to take away, but never any homework.

Spaces are limited, as we want to keep it cosy and intimate - we’ll be a small but creatively-charged group!

$160 for the four sessions, including everything mentioned above (Snacks! Wine! Gifts! Snug bookshop setting!) as well as discounts on all of our workshops throughout winter.

We can’t wait to have you in the club! 💙

Join us at Riverbend books for one of our leather journal cover workshops on the 11th or 30th of April - we will never tire of these! So much fun.

Life Drawing is back on the 26th with a new model and a bonus reading by the delightful Emily Lighezzolo of her new novel - aptly called Life Drawing!

And as always, our monthly craft night on the 24th - bring along your latest work in progress and craft with us. We’d love to see you!

We’re hosting our first life drawing session!

All artistic levels welcomed - it will be a very relaxed, largely unguided class, running for two hours, with plentiful breaks for our model, and for snacks. We’ll have some basic materials but feel free to bring your own!

If you’ve left your presents to the last minute like us, we have gift vouchers available to solve some Christmas dilemmas!

Vouchers can be used for all our offerings - workshops, kits, custom journals and craft nights. ⭐️
