Meet Jacqui
Some creative journeys begin with a single spark — for Jacqui, it was the gentle rhythm of sewing during university days, later stitched into clothes and treasures for her children. Then life, as it does, grew busy. Work took over, time slipped away, and the sewing machine grew quiet.
Now retired, she has returned to her first love with open arms. Free again to create, she finds deep satisfaction in turning beautiful fabrics into unique handmade gifts — pieces made slowly, thoughtfully, joyfully.
What she’s learned along the way
“Enjoy the journey.” There will be highs and lows, Jacqui says, and sometimes you need to pivot to meet a changing market. But the heart of it never changes: Make what brings you joy. When your heart is in it, the love shows in every stitch.
A turning point
It began with a simple question: “Do you make baby bibs?” She didn’t — but she said, “No, but I can try.” One pattern led to another, one mum led to many, and soon a whole world of baby items blossomed. Now, creating practical, beautiful pieces for new mums and bubs brings her immense joy — gifts that feel personal, thoughtful, and truly special.
