Job Opening: Accounts Receivable & Administration

Rylex Flooring is a Sydney-based flooring specialist established in 2009, operating from our headquarters in Caringbah. We are a leader in the supply and installation of commercial carpets and vinyls, known for delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments. With continued growth—including expansion into Victoria—we’re looking for a skilled and reliable Accounts Receivable & Admin Officer to support both our NSW and Victorian operations.
About the Role
This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both finance and administration. You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, and assisting with a range of admin tasks. This role will also include supporting the finance and admin needs of our growing Victorian office, making strong communication and coordination skills essential.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and send accurate invoices to customers
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments via phone and email
Apply payments, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in Xero
Use PayApps for claim submissions and payment tracking
Prepare and update aging reports; escalate problem accounts when necessary
Provide administrative support including document filing, data entry, and responding to emails
Support internal teams in both NSW and Victoria to resolve billing issues and assist with workflow coordination
Assist with general office operations and ensure compliance with internal processes
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, finance administration, or a similar accounting role
Proven experience using Xero and PayApps for financial processing and reporting
Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial compliance
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration
Ability to manage priorities, work autonomously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
