Today’s creation was this fresh, zesty lemon beauty for a special 10th birthday 💛

Layers of soft, fluffy lemon cake filled with silky lemon buttercream and lemon curd topped with candied lemon slices and finished with that perfect pop of citrus zest. Simple, fresh, and packed with flavour, exactly how lemon cake should be 💛

Busy prep day in the kitchen today and my benches are absolutely covered 😅

Two big cake orders for this week meant getting ahead, 6 cakes baked, a truck load of lemon buttercream whipped up, candied lemons done, and rich chocolate ganache ready to go.

First up is a lemon lover’s dream for a birthday tomorrow 🍋 Think fresh, zesty, and packed with flavour.

Then it’s onto a chocolate mud Mario-themed cake for Sunday 🎮🍫 (which I’m so excited to put together!)
It’s been a full-on day, but this is the fun part! seeing it all come together over the next couple of days.

From simple to standout 🍞✨

Lately I’ve been diving into bread making and experimenting with a few different styles…

🥖 A classic white loaf; soft, fluffy, and perfect for everyday use
💪 A high-protein bread; a more nourishing option that still tastes amazing
🌶️🧀 My premium loaf; high protein, high fibre, packed with chilli, cheese, and chia seeds for that extra kick and texture and also delivering a whopping 22g of protein per slice (based on a standard 100g slice)
It’s been so fun learning, testing, and seeing how small changes can completely transform a loaf. Each one has its own vibe and purpose, whether you want comfort, nutrition, or something a bit indulgent.

All loaves are available to order 🤍 If you’re after something specific or want to try a different flavour or variety, I’m always happy to experiment and create something just for you!
