๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒฟ We did it! Our very first Walk & Paint!

Led by the incredible Leah through stunning bush trails, before settling in overlooking the cliffs with brushes, watercolours, and a warm cuppa in hand. Morning tea provided, views absolutely free. โ˜•

The watercolour session was led by me! Guiding everyone through capturing their own part of the landscape on paper, no experience needed.
And everyone went home with their very own special watercolour journal to keep their creative journey going. ๐ŸŽ

This is what we created today, and we would love YOU to join us next time.

Sometimes it's worth running a little late to work.

Every painting in my collection started with something that stopped me in my tracks โ€” a perfect light on the water, a bird perched just so, a sunset I couldn't look away from. I paint because I want to hold onto those moments. Browse my full range of original paintings at jenbiscoeart.com ๐Ÿ”—

Still buzzing from my first wedding expo at the stunning .homestead ! ๐ŸŽจ

Even though the skies were grey and my demo portrait stayed unfinished (turns out talking to lovely people and eating delicious pizza takes time ๐Ÿ˜…), it was absolutely everything I hoped for.

The other vendors were so welcoming and generous - I'm discovering the wedding industry is filled with genuinely beautiful humans who lift each other up.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared excitement about live wedding painting.

Woodburn Homestead, you're stunning even in the rain. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

There's something special about painting the places we call home.

Maybe it's recognising the curve of a bridge you've driven over a hundred times. Or recreating that exact shade of orange the sky turns on summer evenings. Or finally understanding why you always slow down when you pass the Hillsโ€”because beauty like that deserves to be noticed.

That's what happens in these sessions. You don't just paint a landscape. You paint your landscape. The coastlines you grew up on. The sunsets you stop to photograph. The views that make you grateful you live here.

And here's the thingโ€”you don't need to be "good at art" to feel that connection. You just need to show up, pick up a brush, and let yourself create something that feels like home.

No pressure. No perfection.

Our Winter in the Hills session is coming up on July 21stโ€”only a few spots left if you want to join us ๐ŸŽจโœจ

๐ŸŽจ Help me choose! Which Heysen Trail scene should I paint LARGE?

These two mini studies capture different moments from my hike between Kings Beach and Inman Valley on the Heysen Trail. Now I want to create ONE as a larger statement piece for this section. Help me decide!

๐Ÿ‘ Option 1: "Pastoral Peace" Wide open paddock, sheep sheltering under the gums, that quintessential Australian light.

๐Ÿฆ˜ Option 2: "Through the Trees" Curious kangaroos, with layered eucalyptus trunks.

Both speak to me in different ways, so I'm turning to you!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Vote in the comments: Type 1 for the sheep scene or 2 for the kangaroo scene

Or tell me WHY one speaks to you more - I'd love to hear what you connect with!

๐Ÿฅพ Swipe through to see the studies close up and photos from the actual hike โžก๏ธ
