SEASON OF JOY | WEDDING EASEL
Hello lovelies,
Today I’d love to share something very special that I’ve created for our daughter Sapphire and her future husband, Jackson.
They are getting married next year, right here in our garden, and Sapphire has chosen the most beautiful pink and green colour palette, with a whimsical forest and moss-inspired touch.
I’ve designed this pretty little easel to welcome their guests, invite them to snap a photo and leave a special message in their guest book.
For this project, I’ve used Mintay’s beautiful new Season of Joy Christmas Scrapbook Collection — but with a little twist! I’ve used the “B” sides of the papers, which have none of the obvious Christmas elements. Instead, the designs are soft, delicate and beautifully neutral, making them absolutely perfect for a wedding project. 💗
I printed the welcome sign directly onto Season of Joy Paper No. 9. The soft background script is so subtle and pretty that my printed wording sits beautifully over the top without getting lost.
I then embellished the sign using The Wedding Day Die Cuts and Ephemera, which coordinate perfectly with those soft pink and green tones. I also added the gorgeous Decorative Vellum Leaves and Digi Leaves to bring in that whimsical garden feel.
And now I’m thinking… my next project might just have to be a beautiful handmade guest book, using these same two collections, to sit underneath the easel on their special day.
I absolutely love discovering new ways to use papers that you might not immediately think of for a particular project. Sometimes you just need to look at the other side!
