Little studies from a lovely plein air session with Louise Frith at Berry Island. What a place to view trees and of course the friendly tree lovers of North Sydney

It’s been a while. Mostly I’ve been travelling and working on a couple of commitments, but this week I managed to squeeze in this piece.

It’s inspired by the Hawkesbury river, where I’ve been boating quite a bit recently. To moor in a secluded bay and gaze at the landscape is a real pleasure.

I’m venturing back into oil painting and what better way than to paint something very familiar in a beloved palette on the fantastic Ampersand Art Supply claybord. This is now available on my website.

I’d love to know which medium do you prefer and why ☺️
