A different kind of weekend gathering.
Not the playground. Not the park. Not just another lunch.

Last Saturday, we brought our Casa de Olive mobile workshop to a beautiful family-and-friends catch-up — a slower, softer way to spend time together.

Away from screens and the everyday noise, parents and children sat side by side, getting immersed in colours, conversations, and the joy of making something by hand. 🏺🎨

Each person brought their own ideas, imagination, and creative touch into their paper flowers and vases. We absolutely loved seeing how every piece turned out so beautifully unique — full of colour, personality, and expression. 🌸

A meaningful weekend morning of creating together, connecting through conversation, and leaving with something handmade to take home.

A little upgrade for tomorrow’s afternoon Mother’s Day workshop 🌷

We’ll be making a paper flower bouquet and arranging it in a handmade decorative vase — something everlasting to gift, display, or keep.

I’ve been playing with a few cosy textures and little details today… and now I’m thinking:

How about next time we do a “Dress Up Your Vase or Pot” workshop? 🧶✨
Bring a plain vase or plant pot, and we’ll decorate it with texture yarn in your own creative style.

Tomorrow’s Mother’s Day workshops are almost here 🌷

Today is all about unpacking, sorting, preparing, and making sure every little detail is ready for a beautiful creative day.

I can’t wait to welcome everyone, slow down together, and create something handmade, meaningful, and everlasting for Mother’s Day 💐

🌸 A little moment from today’s workshop…

We ran a small single-bloom session this morning, and it was so lovely to watch someone slowly settle into the process — shaping each petal with such quiet focus, and then walking away holding her finished piece with that soft, proud smile 😊

It’s never really just about the flower, but that moment of creating something with your own hands — slowly, intentionally, and with care 🌷

With Mother’s Day coming up, I’ll be hosting a couple of small sessions next Saturday:

🌿 A Basket of Love (parent & child / all ages)
🌸 A Moment for Mum (teens & adults)

A gentle, creative way to celebrate — whether it’s making something for your mum, spending time together, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself ✨

Can You Spot a Little Flower in the Neighbourhood?

As Mother’s Day is coming, I kept thinking…
how can I make it feel a little warmer, a little more meaningful in our local community 💛

So I created a small idea:
I’ve placed a few handmade paper flowers on our local supermarket community notice boards.
If you happen to pass by and spot one —
you’re welcome to take it home 🌸
🌷 You can gift it to your mum
🌷 keep it as a little treat for yourself
🌷 or even pass it to a stranger who might be a mum — just a small way to say “Happy Mother’s Day”
