Today, across parts of the Northern Hemisphere, many are wearing red hats — a quiet, visible gesture of solidarity and shared humanity.

The symbol traces back to resistance history in Norway during WWII and has since been reinterpreted by creative communities as a peaceful act of collective care.

It’s something knitted, shared, and worn to say:
we stand together.
we are not alone.

There are beautiful creative communities helping carry this symbol forward — including and .

For me, Menneskeverd carries that same truth.

Human dignity is inherent.
Not earned.
Not conditional.
Not selective.

Simply human.

Human dignity.

On 26 February, people in Minneapolis and beyond are wearing red hats — a simple but visible gesture of solidarity and shared humanity.

The red hat has roots in historical resistance symbolism, including Norway, and today it’s being reinterpreted as a peaceful, creative act of standing together. A reminder that dignity belongs to everyone.

This artwork was created in that same spirit.

Not loud.
Not aggressive.
But steady.

Because dignity is not conditional.
It isn’t earned.
It isn’t selective.

It is human.
