The Prado Settee is a minimalist modular sofa that brings a new dimension to comfort with its vast seat and mobile back cushions which may be scattered at will.

There is total freedom since these cushions, which are weighted and equipped with an anti-slip system, will remain in place without needing to be leant against or attached to anything. They could, therefore, also be arranged on the floor for a few leisurely moments around a low table.

An interesting feature of the Prado Settee is the possibility to transform each settee base to double as an occasional bed simply by turning over the large seat cushion, the reverse of which is covered with mattress ticking.

The characterful, bound-up Lace Footstool by Benjamin Graindorge for Ligne Roset multitasks as a footstool and a stool. With a slightly narrow the base (narrower than the seat itself), the footstool is very light in appearance.

Its personality springs from the contrasting cord which runs around and through, to give the footstool such an elegant appearance. Having spent much time in Japan, Graindorge has drawn inspiration from Japanese art, in particular sh***ri; the beauty of tight binding.

The Ferguson clan helped popularise tartan. Tartan is a woollen with a colourful squared motif typical amongst Celtic peoples.

It is formed from a pattern of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical lines in a range of colours. Tartans were originally seen only on fabric, but are now used on many other materials.
