A lovely summer eco-friendly tribute from today using a hand constructed base, topped with Agrawool in a certified home compostable bag, secured with twine, and finished with seasonal, locally grown flowers 💕

All elements can be safely returned to the earth leaving no harmful impact on the environment 🙏🏽

At Botany we are honoured to make tributes to farewell beloved family and friends. A special selection of flowers was used today from in Gisborne and in Lower Plenty, which included dahlias, cosmos, zinnias, clematis, roses, blackberry foliage, hydrangeas and Queen Anne's lace seedheads.

In the studio today we have some gorgeous and uncommon spring varieties - banksia rose, nicotiana, emu bush and aquilegia.

We love to find unique and interesting varieties for your orders to surprise & delight the person receiving them, sparking curiosity for nature's wonderful flora.

I loved this particular variety of emu bush so much that I took a few stems to propagate (which I know absolutely nothing about) wish me luck! 😅

A hand-tied single ended casket sheaf from today, made with the most wonderful seasonal flowers.

We are proudly a foam-free florist, and all of our sympathy work is fully compostable.

Hand-tied casket sheafs are arranged with the stems exposed like a large, wild bouquet, making them perfect to reuse in a vase at the wake.

I've been neglecting Insta for the last month and for good reason - I just migrated the entire website to a new hosting platform.

You'll notice that it looks very slightly different, and you'll find some great new features in there too.

But best of all :

- Sustainably wrapped bouquets are now available!

- Our dried range has had a much needed restock 🎉

There could be some teething issues over the next few days (I've tested it and it's running smoothly but websites man, who knows 🥴).
