✨ Would you add your brushstroke to a community artwork?

This community banner wasn’t created by me alone—it was created with the people of Whitehorse.

Throughout the Spring Festival, hundreds of visitors picked up a brush and added their own mark to this artwork. Every colour, every stroke and every contribution became part of one shared story.

Soon, this banner will be hanging outside Box Hill Central as a celebration of our community and the people who make it special.

Creating spaces where people don’t just look at art—but become part of it—is one of my favourite parts of being an artist.

Art has a way of bringing strangers together. ❤️

The Father examines the father figure as both a personal memory and a symbolic structure of patriarchal presence. Repeated in a circular formation, each portrait carries its own expression, emotion and psychological weight.

Installed on a wooden board with a motorised mechanism, the drawing rotates continuously, creating an optical tension between protection, authority and confusion. Through this looping movement, the work becomes an emotional trap — asking whether the father figure functions as a source of safety, control, or disorientation.

From semi-final to final design for this private commission ✨
One of my favourite parts of the process is watching the vision slowly come to life through all the little refinements and details.

This is just the beginning — next, we paint it together 🎨

Requiring renovation of the existing kiosk, the new design of Oriental Hut in Box Hill Shopping Centre reflects a trendy atmosphere within the existing traditional typology. The green tile finishes, gold dome arches and eye-catching lights complement the back-lit mirrored neon light signage to bring a modernised look to a casual Chinese eatery.
