Some earrings, mittens and a mug! My artist haul from Wangi Wangi today. A great range of creations from some very talented artists at the Dobell. Can’t wait to put the fingerless mittens to work on my next paintings for the next exhibition! Since having my floors done I have to paint on my deck and it is pretty cold out there… these little beauties will be perfect!

I got rid of the rust effect on the knobby bits. It detracted too much from the overall concept and drew the eye away from the bigger picture. Im very happy with the result. Love this sculpture

Today was the last offical day at centralcoastsculptureschool for the term. It is winter holidays wink wink… I concentrated on getting the wedge mount painted. I will duck out one day next week and and seal the piece. On the final stretch. So excited to see the finished…

I got sidetracked this week with this and that BUT finally remembered to send off my Incognito Art Show entries on Wednesday. I expressed posted them just to be sure they made the deadline!

Can’t wait to checkout all the entries and find my pic for this year!

I am back at the painting and just relearning a big lesson I had forgotten… that’s is…

‘DON’T GIVE UP’

Because you are only one stroke of paint away from standing up and dancing with your dogs because it has suddenly all come together!

I was getting a little bit frustrated and stuck… so I got and walked away. Ate some cake. Then ate some more cake and then a punnet of strawberries. Then sat back down. I thought I was going to stop for the day until I accidentally dropped the brush and hey presto… a winner 😊

God I LOVE being an artist! 🧑‍🎨
