Meet Elena... Elena was discarded and dishevelled and in need of a makeover. I found her on a giveaway page on FB and quickly swooped in to adopt her.
I loved Elena's natural look and wanted to stay as close to it as possible, while also being inspired by Maria Brink.
I gave her some dark, smokey eyes with dripping liner in white and black and gave her fresh eyelashes. I painted over her fair eyebrows with a darker brown to make them pop, and painted a white and black liner crescent moon in between.
Her nostrils were given some shading and depth and polished off with some white liner atop the bridge.
I painted her lips a pretty pale pink and contoured with a darker pink for dimension. Her cheeks were brushed with the same pastel pink.
I gave her hands, wrists, and neck the same black and red makeup look that Maria uses and took her shoes off altogether.
Her new gown is handmade by me using her original dress as a pattern. It has darts in the bodice and back to fit her snugly, and instead of being sewn onto her, this gown is removable. I decorated it with blood-red glass beads.
Her undergarments are her original ones but dyed black and grey, and she has a new, huge black tulle petticoat.
To top of her glorious head, I gave her a beautiful soft blonde wig that cascades gently down her back.
As a final flourish, she wields a crystal necklace handmade for me by a friend for my wedding years ago.
I love her.
