Sometimes you have a vision.

Sometimes the Shekeli Down Under inks take over and create something even better.

The depth, the movement, the way the colours dance through the resin… every angle of this vase reveals something new.

This is why I love working with alcohol inks. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, and every creation ends up with its own personality.

I poured the resin.

The inks stole the show. 💜✨

Today’s lesson?

What actually goes into a handmade tumbler.

Spoiler alert: it’s a lot more than throwing glitter at a cup and hoping for the best.

There are hours of prep work, resin that behaves like it’s holding a personal grudge, dust particles with military-grade targeting systems and bugs that seem willing to risk their entire family tree just to land in fresh resin.

And then there’s the maker standing under seventeen different lights whispering:

“What’s wrong with you?”

To a perfectly good tumbler.

🌹😮‍💨 I don’t think the camera is doing this one justice.

The purple rose catches the light differently every time it spins and I’m officially obsessed.

So after MANY highly professional business meetings caffeine, glitter and unhinged ideas at 1am, Phoenix and I have officially gone down the mascot route for The Shimmer Shack & The wandering Charm 🐝

And before anyone asks… yes, she’s affectionately named after my real life furbaby Betty Bee 🐾

Honestly this tiny glitter-covered menace already feels like she owns the place.

She’s just a little bit of sassy fun for the business and we already adore her more than we probably should, and are looking forward to some fun with her.

You’ll be seeing her around the Shack causing problems, enabling craft addictions and judging your TBR pile while pretending hers isn’t worse.
