Tell me you are in Palm Beach without telling me you’re in Palm Beach 🏝️
A dreamy foyer in a project by Gil Walsh is flanked on the right by a work by the ever talented Deborah Brown and a diptych by Martine Poppe, whose ethereal paintings really demand close attention. Both works contain palm trees to highlight the sense of place (even though the Brown actually depicts California 🤫) and set the mood for the rest of home yet in completely different styles and techniques.

In anticipation of the opening of of Kip’s Bay in Palm Beach this week, I am sharing the collaboration I did for Meredith Ellis for Kip’s Bay Dallas. The creative process hits different when the designer is the client- complete creative control! This Gary Hume painting in high gloss enamel on aluminum was the perfect foil to the 19th century portrait in her Admiral’s bedroom. Good luck to this year’s crop of creatives on the big opening!

Final post of the House Beautiful feature on Colleen Simonds’ Lake Michigan project. This Sebastian Blanck, along with the Mike Piggott, Carol’s Cabin and Elisa Jensen’s Riverview( for the same project but not shown) are all courtesy of Maya Frodeman Gallery.
