We are always so grateful for the incredible support of all our customers, especially those who travel long distances to visit us at The Christmas Shop. ✨

We have welcomed lots of visitors the last month or so, including Robyn & Allan from south-western NSW, Mike & Katie from Ohio, USA and Jenny & Adrian from Queensland!

It means so much to us that families and Christmas lovers make us part of their holiday plans, taking time out of their travels to stop by and experience a little bit of Christmas magic with us.

Thank you for choosing to spend a little of your precious holiday time with us. ❤️🎄❤️

Whether you’re visiting from a nearby town or travelling from far away, we never take your support for granted. Seeing your excitement, hearing your stories, and sharing in your Christmas traditions is what makes what we do so special.

We truly appreciate every visit and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. ❤️🎄❤️

We have had so many wonderful customers pop in recently and we are very behind in sharing the photos of their visits!

A few weeks ago, lovely Laney discovered our store for the first time and we had a wonderful time chatting all things Christmas, life and whatever else came up on the day!

Thank You for visiting and we hope to see you again soon!

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month.

It's a time to recognise the impact brain tumours have on individuals, families, and the people around them. For many, it brings uncertainty, complex decisions, and a day-to-day that looks very different to what came before.

Brain Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Babies. Children. Teenagers. Young Adults. Adults. Older Adults. Every Age. Every Lifestyle. Anyone.

Despite this, brain cancer remains widely misunderstood and often overlooked. This month is an opportunity to better recognise its impact, to ensure the voices of those affected are heard, and to spotlight the research working to improve outcomes.

We lost our beautiful sister, friend and daughter Melanie to this terrible cancer in 2007. She was 34.

Mel was a childhood educator, a beautiful soul who just absolutely adored children. She just couldn’t wait until she was an Aunty, and pretty much had planned out how she was going to look after her future Niece’s or newphew’s before there was even an idea about them coming along. Unfortunately she never got to meet her future nieces, Littlest and Baby Elf... but BOY would she have spoiled them rotten.

Mel was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006 and fought with courage, determination and bravery. She was always worried about everyone else, more than herself. Her motto was... “things could be worse”! She never gave up hope for a cure and she was and still is an inspiration to us. We miss her every day.

She is the reason we do our charity days, raffles and for many years - produced and sold the Cure Brain Cancer Crane Ornaments - to help raise much needed funds for Brain Cancer Research (donations given to the Brain Cancer Foundation and we also now donate to the Charlie Teo Foundation and Little Legs Foundation).

Plain white, white glittered and rainbow glittered cranes are still available from us at The Christmas Shop. Yvette can also write a name or small message on the bottom - so if you would like yours personalised please contact us.

Brain cancer is not always easy to talk about, but it's important that we do.

Sisters carry each other in their hearts forever and always.
