Foraged for tomorrow’s wedding 🍂

These incredible burgundy clouds of smokebush are making their way into tomorrow’s floral designs. I love incorporating foraged elements into my work, especially when they bring this much texture, movement and depth.

I can’t wait to share the results!!

A little glimpse into the magic of Bubbles & Blooms 🌸🥂

An afternoon filled with beautiful seasonal flowers, creativity, bubbles, cake and some seriously gorgeous arrangements!

One of my favourite parts of these workshops is watching everyone choose their flowers, find their own style and create something completely unique.

A huge thank you to the lovely ladies who joined me, and to Nina at Lumina | Community through Creativity for providing such a wonderful space to bring it all to life.

And how beautiful are these photos Nina captured?! A lovely little reminder of a very special afternoon. 💐

When the flowers are so beautiful you can’t help but hide behind them!

Stock ‘Iron Apricot’ looking absolutely dreamy in the flower patch this week.

Those gorgeous ruffled blooms, soft shades of blush, peach and apricot, and the most incredible fragrance!

These beauties will be making their way to our Bubbles & Blooms event tomorrow, ready for our guests to create something beautiful with flowers freshly harvested from the farm.

I can’t wait to see them in everyone’s bouquets! 🌸🥂

Allium ‘Purple Rain’ in all its glory! 💜

Freshly harvested from our flower farm in Richmond and heading to Botanical today.

Those striking violet starbursts have been worth every bit of patience, and I couldn’t be happier to see them making their way into Botanical where the amazingly talented team will create beautiful bouquets and arrangements.

Grown locally, with love. 🌿 Botanical Kate Sice

🌸 PEONIES ARE COMING TO BUBBLES & BLOOMS! 🌸

As if we needed another reason to love spring! 🥂

We’ll have the last of the spectacular coral peonies, along with the beautiful pink Paula Fay variety, ready for you to add to your very own floral creation.

Peony season is fleeting, which makes these blooms all the more special. And there’s something pretty wonderful about creating a bouquet featuring flowers grown right here in the Coal River Valley. 💕

One of the loveliest afternoons imaginable and what a way to finish a truly fabulous weekend 🌸 Lisa Kingston Flowers

I had the absolute pleasure of spending the afternoon at Lisa Kingston’s beautiful flower farm for her Spring Flower Workshop, and I can genuinely say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a very long time.

The weather was glorious, the gardens were breathtaking, and Lisa and Steve were the most incredibly warm and generous hosts.

From learning more about growing beautiful cut flowers to floral design, I came away with so much new knowledge, inspiration and enthusiasm.

But perhaps just as lovely was spending the afternoon surrounded by people who share a love of flowers, swapping stories, learning from one another and making new friends along the way.

There’s something really special about being welcomed into another grower’s world and seeing the passion, knowledge and hard work behind what they do.

A huge thank you to Lisa and Steve for such a wonderful afternoon. I left feeling inspired, grateful and very excited to put everything I’ve learnt into practice back at my own little flower farm.

What a beautiful way to spend a spring afternoon! 🌷

Some flowers tell a love story long before the wedding day. 🌻

When Ella first enquired about her wedding flowers, she shared that sunflowers were the very first flowers Jim had ever given her. They’d held a special place in their story ever since, and she dreamed of having them at the heart of their wedding flowers.

For their beautiful October wedding in Kettering, we paired sunflowers with soft whites, buttery yellows and fresh greenery, creating romantic, garden-inspired bouquets and ceremony arrangements.

Despite a very windy Tasmanian spring day, the flowers brought a little sunshine to the celebrations.

And hearing from Ella afterwards that the flowers were “so beautiful and made the day so ‘us’” was everything I could have hoped for.

Congratulations, Ella & Jim. Thank you for trusting The Richmond Flower Company with such a meaningful part of your day. 💛

It’s been a super busy week on the flower farm! 🌱🌸

We’ve welcomed 2,100 new seedlings, all ready to be planted out for a summer full of beautiful blooms!

This delivery included some gorgeous varieties:

🤍 Zinnia Benary’s Giant White & Lime

🌸 Zinnia Queeny Lime with Red

🤍 Scabiosa Fama White

🤎 Dara Chocolate Lace

🌿 Gypsophila

🤎 Lisianthus Rosanne Brown & Ch*****ne

And as if planting 2,100 seedlings wasn’t enough to keep us busy, we also had a wedding to flower this weekend! 💐

It’s certainly been a busy spring here at The Richmond Flower Company, but we’re so excited to see all these little plants grow into beautiful summer blooms!
