They say if you want to change the world, you should start by making your bed every day.

Except in this house, when I creep out way before the crack of dawn before the birds (and before the rest of the world has even thought about alarm clocks), that task falls on my husband! Ah, the absolute joys of hospo life.

There is truly nothing better than coming home after a long, crazy day of feeding the neighborhood to find the bed fully made and ready for a crash landing. Huge shoutout to the real hero behind the scenes......thanks, honey!

Imagine opening your fridge at home to this kind of absolute perfection! Everything organized, sparkling, and fully stocked.

In reality? Between running Sunny Street, prepping soup ingredients, and stocking up for the week, my home fridge usually looks like a chaotic game of Tetris. But a fairy food mother can dream!

Well it's really a meal in my books but anyway....

Showing a bit of my English heritage here (even if they are called Scotch eggs! lol).

I have the fondest memories from when I was around 10 years old growing up in England and my dad Nev cooking these up fresh in huge batches on freezing cold afternoons. Crisp on the outside, savory, and served warm straight out of the kitchen. Have always loved them and still do!

Happy First Day of Spring, Queensland! YAYYY! 🌸
Man, I love fresh blooms, how can you not?
Who doesn't love Spring (apart from the sneezing and hay fever part, lol)!

In another life, I’d be a florist on a flower farm with this vintage truck, picking blooms at sunrise with a pot of coffee on the seat next to me, my dog riding shotgun, and country music blaring on the radio.

That’s a dream for another day, but in this life, your fairy food mother is right here at Sunny Street soaking up the sunshine, slinging iced coffees, and getting ready for the warm season ahead! ☀️
