Wondering why our protection and cleansing boxes don’t come with White Sage or Palo Santo?

Palo Santo and White Sage are both traditionally used by Indigenous cultures for cleansing and healing. They are also used in ceremonies and spiritual practices and hold deep cultural and spiritual significance.

Unfortunately, both Palo Santo and white sage are frequently harvested and sold unethically. In 2019, Peruvian authorities intercepted a truck carrying over 10,000 lbs of illegally harvested Palo Santo.

Out of respect, we choose not to include items tied to closed or culturally protected practices. Instead, we use alternatives that are not part of a closed practice and are widely used across many cultures for cleansing, grounding, and intention setting. 🤍

One of our customers ordered this Morpho didius.

During the pinning process, a small breakage occurred in one of the wings and due to the delicate nature of these specimens, it couldn’t be repaired. Even the slightest movement can make or break a butterfly.

I offered to create a completely new piece at no extra cost, and the customer’s thoughtful response was truly heartwarming — such a beautiful perspective to have.
