The first pour sets and cools completely. Then I warm the surface just enough to open it and set the crystal chips in by hand, one at a time, before it closes again.

Four minutes per candle and there is no way to speed it up.

Which is why no two are the same. Amethyst in Luna, Smoky Quartz in Yara, Tiger's Eye in Maia.

Terrae. Pine and Eucalyptus with Moss Agate chips.

Moss Agate is the gardeners stone, which is why this one is about steadiness rather than a fresh start. Slow growth, the kind you only notice looking back.

It is the only candle in the Elements range and the chips come up through the wax as it burns.

You cannot smell a screen.

Watch a woman at a market table and she does the same thing every time. Picks up all seven, smells every one, then hands her favourite to whoever she came with and tells them to smell it too. She has decided before she has looked at the price.

That is how candles get bought. Which is a problem when the only thing I can give you online is a photograph.

This is what the bench looks like on a pour day.

Fresh batch, all poured this morning in my studio in Melbourne.

Every jar gets a crystal set into the wax by hand while it is still soft, matched to the scent. Never dropped on top at the end.

Small batch means exactly that. I pour, they go, I pour again. There is no warehouse behind this.
