It's been a HUGE two and a bit weeks.
Italy- Pompeii - VIAN (Vorwerk International Awards Night)- Katy Perry- China- Terracotta Warriors - Great Wall of China
So, back to how this happened.
In Sept/Oct last year Vorwerk announced an international recruiting contest with the top 10 branches from Australia qualifying to attend the Vorwerk international awards night, held in Rome this year (and each year with a mystery performer).
It was a crazy hectic time, with around 40 recruits joining my team in these two months. Lots of conversations, training, and even though I loved it, at times I felt like I was working 24/7 those months.
It was all worth it though, for a good chunk of that time our branch was sitting number 1 in the country for recruitment, even though we missed out in the end to the wonderful Tammy and her Syd branch (who ended up number 1 in the world in this category at VIAN!). Pretty incredible.
Uncertainty around Middle East travel also brought uncertainty around whether we could, would and should travel to Rome. Very grateful for the events team, who changed the flights of the nearly 150 people attending from Aus and I ended up flying through Shanghai.
It was incredible being back in Rome and even more incredible attending this massive Vorwerk event. 2,500 people and the most elaborate event I have attended in my life. Just mind blowing. Our surprise act was Katy Perry for a private concert (unfortunately for my 13yo daughter it was 8am on a Sunday morning in Aus when she performed and she was asleep and missed my video calls π« ).
Pretty spectacular!
After a recovery day, we departed Italy and I stayed in China for an extra 9 days of leave, exploring Shanghai, Xi'an and Beijing before heading home on Friday.
Feeling like the happiest and luckiest person on earth at the moment to have had all these amazing experiences in such a short timeframe, and to now be home with my family and my dog πΆ
