Pilau rice & quinoa, morrocan tagine, potato flat bread and salad... a delicious meal prep and lunch for a friend.

I must admit I was second guessing everything I cooked as I had a friend coming for lunch but apparently I nailed it.

It was a nice little confidence boost and glad I tweaked the recipes as I found them bland.

🌱 Meal Prep Monday! πŸ«›

I raided the garden last night to gather some goodies for today's meal prep.

I was feeling pretty chuffed that I'd finally managed to harvest some broad beans… then I opened a bag a friend had given me and discovered broad beans twice the size! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

My plants have struggled since planting, so I'm grateful I managed to harvest any at all. It's also rather funny how a lovely big pile of pods turns into a surprisingly small amount once they're shelled and peeled! 🀣

Meanwhile, my wall of out-of-date pea seeds planted in the long garden bed, Leviathan, has certainly not failed to produce! πŸ«›πŸ’š

I've been snacking on the snow peas daily, but the plants are producing so well that I had to do a proper harvest just to keep up.

I'm thinking a stir-fry with snow peas, broad beans and vegan prawns for meal prep. πŸ˜‹

There's something very satisfying about wandering out into the garden, harvesting what you need and turning it into meals for the week ahead.

And those out-of-date seeds? Well, they're certainly earning their keep! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ±

I’d spend all day out here! Who agrees?

New week, new challenge. 30 photos posts... here we go again lol. 4 or 5 posts daily and 2 reels!?!

πŸ€¬πŸ” THE CHICKENS HAVE COMMITTED GARDEN CRIMES! 🌱

My wayward, escapee chickens have only gone and dug up ALL my newly planted zucchinis, Armenian cucumbers and pumpkins in the Gigantor bed! πŸŽƒπŸ₯’

Some of the plants have completely disappeared, and others have been enthusiastically excavated from their nice, comfortable homes. 😭

I am VERY glad it's still early in the season and I have time to replant, but seriously, girls?! I put all that effort into getting the garden ready, and you repay me by turning it into a construction site! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

They should be very grateful I only eat plants. 🀣🌱

Naughty birds! VERY naughty birds!

Now, excuse me while I go and see what I can salvage and start replanting. Apparently, the Gigantor bed has become an all-you-can-dig buffet. πŸ™„

🌱 The Colossus is LOVING its new watering system! πŸ’š

Yes, I name my garden beds. πŸ˜‚

The zucchini and pumpkin plants have almost ALL doubled in size overnight! I knew consistent watering would make a difference, but seeing the results so quickly is just wonderful.

The lettuces have put on a heap of growth too, and the bush beans growing down the middle of the bed are equally happy with their upgraded conditions. πŸ₯¬πŸ«˜

It's amazing what happens when plants get the conditions they need to thrive. With our warmer weather on the way, getting the watering system sorted is another big step towards keeping the garden productive without making every day a marathon of hand watering. πŸ’š

Happy plants, happy gardener! 🌱

Bahaha. So country.
I had a friend drop by, we were chatting and I look out the window and spot 2 naughty chickens digging in my Gigantor bed where I just planted!
🀬🀬🀬 insert expletive followed by "BYE!"
Friend responds, "Bye and don't run, you will break something!" 🀣🀣🀣 and let herself out while I play catch the chickens.
Life isn't boring.

Good morning y'all!πŸ‚

It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle of planning for the next season, the next project, or the next goal. But sometimes, the absolute best thing we can do is just stand still right where we are. Take a look around at the little thingsβ€”the quiet coop, the changing leaves, the simple comfort of homeβ€”and realize that abundance is already right here in front of us. β˜•βœ¨

Let’s take a collective breath together tonight. What is one small, simple thing making your heart happy right now? πŸ‘‡
