King of the Arctic – Polar Bear
আর্কটিকের রাজা মেরু ভালুক!
Polar Bear মেরু ভালুক দেখতে খুবই সুন্দর ও শান্ত মনে হয়, কিন্তু বাস্তবে এটি আর্কটিক অঞ্চলের সবচেয়ে বড় এবং সবচেয়ে শক্তিশালী স্থল শিকারি প্রাণী।
একটি পূর্ণবয়স্ক পুরুষ মেরু ভালুকের ওজন সাধারণত ৩৫০ থেকে ৭০০ কেজি পর্যন্ত হতে পারে। মেরু ভালুক মূলত মাংসাশী এবং তাদের প্রধান খাবার হলো—
সিল সবচেয়ে প্রিয় ও প্রধান শিকার কখনো ছোট বা মৃত তিমির মাংস এরা খেয়ে থাকে। সাধারণভাবে মেরু ভালুক বাঁচে প্রায় ২০–২৫ বছর প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক মেরু ভালুক ২–৩ মাস পর্যন্তও না খেয়ে থাকতে পারে, বিশেষ করে গরম মৌসুমে
The Polar Bear may look beautiful and calm, but in reality, it is the largest and most powerful land predator of the Arctic region.
An adult male Polar Bear typically weighs between 350 and 700 kilograms. These bears are carnivores, and their favorite prey is the seal, which makes up the majority of their diet.
They may also feed on small whales or the carcasses of dead whales when available.
A Polar Bear usually lives for about 20–25 years in the wild. One of their most remarkable abilities is surviving 2–3 months without food, especially during the warmer seasons when hunting becomes more difficult.
