Exclusive Furniture & Interior Design - Chhabi Ghar, Dhaka, Bangladesh Chhabi Ghar is a place where you will find decorative home furnishing items. Chhabi Ghar (ছবিঘর) was established in 1939 in Laxmibazar (old Dhaka) beside St.

Gregory School. The founder was Mohammad Yakub Ali, a recreational artist. 'Chhabi Ghar' made its name from the very beginning for its unique capability of Framing Photos and Mirrors. After his death in 1973, his only son Ibrahim (Graduate of Fine Arts, Dhaka University), took responsibility of 'Chhabi Ghar'. In 1977 'Chhabi Ghar' was relocated in 218, New Elephant Road. From 1986, 'Chhabi Ghar' started designing unique Furnitures and Interior Designs beside Framing. The owner of 'Chhabi Ghar', Artist Ibrahim, participated in three individual art exhibitions and several national and international art exhibitions. He is a regular painter. He also does furniture design and interior design regularly. He also does consultancy in case of interior design. Mansura Khanom Reela supervises the overall administration of 'Chhabi Ghar'. Akib Ibban assists Mr. Ibrahim during designing process.

'Chhabi Ghar' has 20 craftsmen. They are employed as contract basis also.
