New kilim
↪️I’ve found myself unexpectedly drawn to weaving.
I’m a little surprised by it, to be honest. It takes a great deal of time, and I’ve never been particularly good at projects that need to be worked on with huge attention over several days. I usually prefer things that can be finished quickly.
But weaving has been teaching me patience. It has also shown me how beneficial it can be for a busy, restless mind to focus quietly on one small thing and simply watch it take shape, thread by thread.

I would recommend everyone try weaving at least once. There is something deeply satisfying about slowing down and creating something with your own hands.

“Side projects” — the things we do alongside work, responsibilities, and all the roles we carry in everyday life. Not to achieve anything. Not to monetise them. More often, simply because they spark curiosity and create space that belongs only to us. I wrote something about this: about drawing, yoga, weaving, and how easily even our hobbies can turn into another thing we feel pressure to do “well”. And about how important it can be to do things that don’t necessarily lead anywhere.
If you feel like reading a quiet, personal reflection on creativity without pressure, you can find it here:

On the things we do alongside our lives — without needing them to become something more
