During my first birdwatching trip to Danube Delta, I saw thousands of Common Terns. They are agile little birds, terribly loud, but so very very cute. Every spring, Common Terns travel thousands of miles back from West Africa to mate for life. 🤍🥹
Now that I have birdwatchers in my friend list, I am extra motivated to be faithful to their colour, shape and movement so I tried my best to paint this watercolour painting, and make it easy to distinguish them as Terns.

Monet said this to describe his desire for pure, effortless creation. A bird doesn’t study music theory or worry about whether its song is “correct”, it sings purely out of instinct and nature.
“I would like to paint as the bird sings—without overthinking, without trying to explain, simply expressing what I feel.”
