if i had to start my content journey again, there’s a version of me i’d stop right before she made these mistakes.

1️⃣ picking “a niche” and forcing myself to stick to it even when i had way more to say than just DIY & Home Decor. you’re allowed to outgrow what you started with.

2️⃣ thinking brand deals were the only way to make money from this. they’re not. teaching, coaching, consultations, digital products, there’s more than one door in.

but here’s the part that actually changed things for me: i stopped trying to do everything manually. i built my own digital product (a 4-hour content batching system), and i use one tool to sell it, take consultation bookings, and automate the DMs/comments i used to answer one by one. payment comes straight through too no separate invoice, no separate link, no chasing.

it’s such a small shift but it’s the difference between feeling behind and actually having room to create.

If your life looks “on track” but feels off, you’re not broken you’re just outgrowing the plan.

We’re taught: follow the steps, hit the milestones, and one day you’ll feel “there.” Degree, job, stability check, check, check. And still, somewhere underneath it, a quiet “this isn’t it.”

That feeling isn’t failure. It’s your own honesty catching up with you.

I think about a girl who had it all mapped out as a kid and got there. Then life rewrote the script anyway. Family. Health. Jobs she left. Even creator work she walked away from, more than once. She kept showing up through all of it, kept trying things until she noticed she wasn’t chasing money anymore. She was chasing the one thing that actually hits her, heart-first.

That’s the shift. From “what should I be doing?” to “what feels like me?” That’s what turns an unplanned life into a meaningful one.
