I'm a Graphic Designer and Marketing Planner woman who likes travel, design, art and thinking outside of the box. My passion and my business are supporting women and very low-income communities in Brazil showing here in the US their art and histories. Ethnic Brazil is a Colorado-based company that was created to offer a unique and fashionable experience to American women, bringing to the market exclusive and one of a kind product designed and handmade in Brazil. Our jewelry collection uses different types of straws, fibers, wood, and seeds. The unique designs follow shapes, colors and different textures encountered in the Brazilian ecosystem. The idea is to transform natural resources into urban and modern pieces, following the main fashion trends, without failing to highlight the grandeur of the Brazilian nature. We work with the river and native community partners withdrawing resources judiciously, generating jobs and income for regions that mainly do artisanal work. The extraction of raw materials follows standards that ensure no harm is done to the environment in the process. We apply the pillars of sustainability: to be ecologically sound, economically viable and socially fair. Ethnic Brazil is much more than just selling things. Every piece of the Collection has a unique history behind it, a history of a life of many strong women artisans in Brazil. I created this business to share with you the beautiful work of these women and bring to you a little piece of my country, Brazil, or Brasil in Portuguese! Ethnic Brazil is a way to stay connected with my roots and my essence, it allows me to share with other women things that I love to wear and continually support women of my native country.

This was practically my mantra throughout my years studying art and graphic design at university.

I always believed that before you can break the rules, you must first understand and master the techniques.

Technique gives you the foundation. Knowledge gives you confidence. But creativity gives you the freedom to go beyond what you’ve learned and make art.

Learn the rules. Master the craft. Then dare to break free and find your signature.

Meet MULA SEM CABEÇA — The Guardian of the Mysteries. 🌙

Deep in the Brazilian countryside, when darkness falls and the world grows quiet, legend tells of a woman condemned to wander the night under a mysterious curse…

According to one of Brazil’s most haunting legends, a woman who fell in love with a priest was cursed to transform into a headless mule, with flames rising from her neck and the sound of her galloping hooves breaking the silence of the night.

Neither entirely woman nor beast, she became a creature of fire and shadows, trapped between love, punishment, and the supernatural.

But perhaps there is another story hidden within this legend… Perhaps the real mystery is not the curse itself, but why the woman was the one condemned to carry it.

At ETHNIC Brazil, our roots are deeply connected to these ancestral stories. We celebrate the traditions, legends, and wisdom passed down through generations, while recognizing that honoring our heritage also means reflecting on the stories we inherit.

Because traditions connect us to our past, but they can also inspire us to see the world differently.

Introducing Feel the Beads, a collection especially dear to my heart because behind these beautiful pieces lies a fascinating story of culture, tradition, and connection.

Did you know that beads have an interesting history with Brazil’s Indigenous peoples?

Long before European contact, Indigenous communities in Brazil were creating beautiful adornments using seeds, shells, bones, stones, and other gifts from nature.

With the arrival of Europeans, colorful glass beads entered these traditions through trade and cultural exchange. Over time, Indigenous artisans incorporated them into their own artistic expressions, transforming these tiny objects into intricate patterns filled with identity, symbolism, and ancestral knowledge.

Today, beadwork continues to be a powerful expression of cultural heritage, creativity, and identity across many Indigenous communities, each with its own traditions and meanings.

Meet CAIPORA — The Guardian of the Animals. 🐗
Deep in the Brazilian forest, where every sound carries a secret, folklore tells the story of a mysterious guardian who watches over the animals…

Caipora is said to protect wildlife, confuse hunters, and hide animals from those who enter the forest with greed. Some legends even describe her riding a wild pig through the trees.

And perhaps this ancient story reminds us of something we often forget… The forest is not ours to take from without limits. It is a world we share.

At ETHNIC Brazil, respect for the Earth goes hand in hand with respect for ancestral traditions. Maybe this ancient story still carries a message for us today… The forest gives us so much. What we do with those gifts matters.
