We are SO grateful for such an amazing market weekend at the Balzac Christmas Market!! 💕 We met some super kind new people, saw many old friends and have begun a new annual mother/daughter tradition! 🥳 Thank you to all the sweet customers who shopped from our booth and made our days with their purchases. 🎄The annual Balzac Christmas Market is this coming Friday & Saturday! If you’re in the Airdrie/Calgary area this weekend and want to enjoy some Christmas spirit, be sure to come check us out! It’s been a few years since I’ve had a table here, but my daughter really wanted to do it with me this year so how could I say no!? 😂🥰❤️🎄 Our house has been super busy with market prep the last few weeks and we are just about all set! I LOVE driving through the Rockies this time of year! 😍 Definitely thankful for bright blue skies, snow starting to cover the mountain tops and the leaves all turning their beautiful fall colours. 🏔️🍂 🥰

After spending a fun and busy Thanksgiving weekend with family in BC, we are making the trek back through the mountains to AB. These views just never get old!!! Wishing everyone in Canada and all Canadians abroad a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️🇨🇦

Just adding the finishing touches by way of buttons to my DRK Everyday Cardi! There is finally a fall chill in the air and I am excited to be able to wear this beauty out and about. 😆 🍂🍁 Frosty mornings, cozy sweaters, hot cups of coffee and evening family snuggles on the couch watching tv make Fall my absolute favourite season! I had the absolute pleasure of test knitting this GORGEOUS new cowl pattern by Canadian designer ! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
This pattern is clear, concise, easy to follow and very intuitive to knit. To be honest, all of Holly’s patterns are like this and are what makes them such a delight to knit up! ❤️🥰❤️ She is releasing this one on the weekend, so keep your 👀 on her IG!
Since January, I have been really trying hard to use up more yarn from my stash. I thought it would be fitting to use yarn from a 🇨🇦 dyer for this one, so dug out a Shirley Brian fade skein I had been saving for something special! This gorgeous warm up in our winter weather (it’s +11C 🥳) has me wanting to make all the things! 😆
I think the last time I worked on this shawl, it was before Christmas…😱. I figured I would pull it out today and see how much I can get done. These colours are so deep and rich! 😍 Maybe I can have this finished and ready to wear by Monday???🤞🏻😂

Lately, there has not been much time to sit and enjoy some knitting time, but we have zero plans for this weekend so let the knitting extravaganza begin! 😂
My sweet pup has also been missing our knitting time together so she is VERY happy this morning to snuggle under my blanket knitting project while I work away on it. The fact that it’s currently a sunny and super chilly -15C outside also helps! Lol!

Everything is officially done and we are ready for Christmas at our house. ❤️🎄❤️
I can finally sit down, light today’s advent candle, enjoy a cup of tea this afternoon and work on my Christmas stocking. I started this on November 1st but then I blinked and now here we are on the 23rd of December…..😬. Here’s to having it done for NEXT Christmas! 😂

It’s snowing again, my errands are done and the house is quiet for one more hour…..soaking in the peace of this snowy afternoon. 🥰
Due to the Canada Post strike, my annual tradition of knitting a 24 striped advent pair of socks by has been put on hold until mail starts being delivered again. In the meantime, a sweet and thoughtful friend gave me this beautiful Christmas skein to work on instead through the advent season. I love traditional red and greens. I finished my annual ‘Frankensocks’ for me and my mini just in time to wear them for trick or treating tonight! It didn’t warm up much today even with the sunshine so wool socks will be perfect tonight to keep our toes warm. 🥰

I need to get some languishing WIPs (works in progress) off my needles because I want to get some super cozy new projects started. is hosting a “wip-along” and today is the perfect day to get started on this pile before me! 😂 First up is this very bright, very cheerful Musselburgh Hat. The weather is still pretty warm here but the chilly weather is coming!!!
Also, I love it when things unexpectedly end up matching, so couldn’t pass up the chance to take a pic! 😂🤓 Super nerdy but fun, right? Anyways, hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!! 😂❤️
