π Another consultant shared this, and it really resonated with me, so I wanted to share it here too.
π± Some Things I Wish I Knew as a Brand New Consultant
1οΈβ£ You don't need to know everything before you start. I spent way too much time waiting until I felt "ready." The truth is, you learn by doing. Every consultant you admire was once brand new too.
2οΈβ£ Consistency beats motivation. The people who succeed aren't always the most talentedβthey're the ones who keep showing up, even when engagement is low.
3οΈβ£ Most people are not ignoring you. They're busy. Kind follow-ups aren't annoying; many customers appreciate the reminder.
4οΈβ£ It's okay to start small. You don't need huge parties, massive sales, or a giant team right away. Small steps repeated consistently can build something incredible over time.
5οΈβ£ You don't need a huge following. You need relationships. A small group of loyal customers is worth more than thousands of followers who never order.
6οΈβ£ Comparison will steal your joy. Someone else's chapter 20 is not your chapter 1. Focus on your own growth and progress.
7οΈβ£ Personal posts matter. People connect with people. Share your life, your family, your pets, your hobbies, and your storyβnot just product photos.
8οΈβ£ Not every month will be a record-breaking month. Business has seasons. Slow months don't mean you're failing.
9οΈβ£ Systems save you. Customer lists, follow-up trackers, host coaching, and simple routines are often more valuable than chasing every new trend.
π Your business should fit your life. Especially for busy moms, caregivers, and people balancing work, family, and everything in between. Success doesn't have to look the same for everyone.
1οΈβ£1οΈβ£ Every "no" isn't personal. Sometimes it's timing. Sometimes it's budget. Sometimes it's simply not a priority right now.
1οΈβ£2οΈβ£ The relationships become the best part. The friendships, customer connections, team culture, and personal growth often become more valuable than the sales themselves.
1οΈβ£3οΈβ£ Your first few months are for learning. Give yourself permission to be new. Every catalog, launch, event, and challenge teaches you something that will help you grow.
π If you're new to Scentsyβor thinking about joiningβremember that you don't have to have it all figured out. Just start where you are, learn as you go, and give yourself grace along the way.
