I learned this one the hard way.

Before I got into my design career, I bought sofas that ripped, stained, scratched, caved in, fell apart, or were completely wrong for the room.

At the time, I thought I was just choosing a style and colour.

Now I know better.

A good sofa is about the right size, the right fabric, the right seat depth, and quality construction you can’t always see from a photo.

This is one of the reasons I love helping clients source furniture properly.

Because the right sofa shouldn’t be something you regret two years later.

This room never felt right… and she couldn’t figure out why.

It was leaning too themed, which is one of the most common mistakes people make when decorating a room. Instead of feeling elevated, it started to feel literal.

So we reworked the space with warmth, texture, contrast, and pieces that felt more timeless.
