3 months late on this trend 😅🫣

As an interior designer, artist, and business owner, my weeks look like running between job sites, presenting designs, coordinating furniture installations, following up on procurement orders, keeping projects on track, putting out fires so my clients don’t have to, drafting drawing packages, obtaining quotes, delivering artwork… and the list goes on.

It’s not glamorous in the way people often think. It’s early mornings, troubleshooting delayed deliveries, coordinating trades and installations, making quick decisions, solving problems on the fly, meeting deadlines, and making sure every detail is considered, documented, and executed as thoughtfully as possible.

But we also laugh through the chaos, celebrate the tiny wins, and occasionally book a massage and take a day off after wrapping up a big project. 😅

Then there are the moments that remind me exactly why I do this.

Watching a client walk into their transformed home for the first time. Revealing a custom painting that’s exactly what they envisioned but couldn’t quite put into words.

I can’t really explain that feeling. To say what I do warms my heart would be an understatement.

Through all the hustle, the chaos, and the endless moving pieces, I truly wouldn’t trade this career for the world.

We recently furnished and styled a beautiful Airbnb cottage! This bedroom embraces a playful interpretation of the Canadian outdoors 🇨🇦 A wood bed frame, tree stump-inspired nightstand, and blue-toned bedding introduce natural textures and subtle references to the lake and surrounding landscape. Vintage snowshoes, traditional Canadian wildlife artwork, and a black-and-white photography print depicting ski lessons celebrate outdoor recreation and cottage culture in a unique and nostalgic way. The combination of vintage-inspired pieces, natural materials, and thoughtfully selected artwork creates a room that feels distinctly Canadian without becoming overly themed, resulting in a space that is warm, memorable, and full of character 🍁🦆
