Its been a warm summer so far but luckily its comfortable in here. I've been busy again in the shop mixing new glazes and getting ready for a glaze firing.

I had to share this moment. My 3.5 year old granddaughter Nella asked if she could try the wheel this past Vicyoria weekend in my studio. I was so excited, pleased and proud to experience it with her. You can see how focused she was from beginning to end. She so loved the experience. I may have a partner joining me in my shop with her creations this xmas. :)

Years ago my dad was carving waterfowl using bass wood and I decorated them. Sad to say I wished I had kept 1 of each but they were either sold or given as gifts. When he passed I kept his file with his patterns and decided to recreate some by hand building with clay. This merganzer was my 3rd to recreate with clay. I already have done a loon and wood duck.

So far we have had a great turnout for our Brantford Guild Sale this weekend. Our last day tomorrow, Sunday, April 12th, we are open from 12-4. Thank you for supporting us all, shopping local, Canadian.
