Epoxy Ocean Maps 🌊

We had a supporter fall in love with our 24x14 Epoxy Ocean Map, but he wanted a larger size to gift to his wife for her birthday 🥳

Custom maps you say?? We got you 😉

This is the first 2/3 layers of epoxy we've poured into this mold for a Medium Map | 36x20.

The 2nd layer is always my favorite to play with.
Maybe it's the child splashing in puddles coming out in me..
Maybe it's matching the map nerd matching whites to continental depths..

What do you think?

Representation Matters 🌍

The day had come that we installed this massive 15' Geo Optic Map at Centre for Newcomers 📍

When The Centre For Newcomers commissioned this piece for guests to pin their home countries at the FIFA World Cup watch parties in Calgary, we knew that representation was the mission.

This map is a living roll call of the people who make this city what it is. Every pin is a story, a journey, and a reminder that Calgary is built by people from communities around the world 🙋🏼🙋🏿‍♀️🙋🏽‍♂️🙋‍♀️

If you’re walking into a space for newcomers, you should be able to see yourself in it. That’s what this map is for: a sense of belonging, being seen, being represented 👋

To everyone coming through the Centre for Newcomers doors this season: welcome. We’re honoured to be a small part of the way Calgary says, “You belong here.”
