On my travels yesterday I popped into Cameron House in Cannington and visited with Marilyn and Merrick.
This absolutely beautiful shopping experience is an outstanding addition to downtown Cannington.
I remember Marilyn bringing in the offer to purchase at the law office I worked at some years ago. She was excited about the vision, the work ahead and of giving life back into an older property. A labour of love experiences many growing pains as it develops, but those who have vision and purpose will succeed. And it’s gorgeous!
Here’s a little insight about the store, but please don’t pass up the opportunity to visit. You won’t be disappointed.
“From offering specialty coffee beans roasted right in house by Merrick and mostly direct trade, to being your local Benjamin Moore mom and pop shop we pride ourselves in also providing a general store feel with our wide array of offerings. At Cameron House you will find home décor, personal care products, jewellery, greeting cards, gourmet food items and more. With Marilyn’s Portuguese heritage, it was also important to her to offer Portuguese made ceramics, glassware, luxury skincare and more. Merrick rounds things off with his extensive finishing knowledge by being your go to guy for all paint and stain related projects. All this in a 1867’s fully restored building, adding to the beauty of Cannington’s downtown”.
