I am soooo incredibly happy with how this pottery frame turned out 🫠

This is my first attempt at a frame and I wasn't sure how the back would turn out or how I'd be able to attach a painting or picture. Well! I found out tape works wonders! This was such an easy make. There are other options for the back, such as adding a backing to hold the painting or adding a bit of wire to hold the piece in place, but I always believe simple is best! And no one sees the back once it's on the wall!

All my old practice paintings are going to find new life in this frame and future frames, because you better belive I'm making more!

Mugs that don't have cracked handles! (If you saw my post yesterday you'll know why I'm celebrating intact handles 😎)

These are coming with me to beautiful Campobello Island in less than a week! They will be for sale at our market during the Campobello Seaglass Festival on Saturday, Sept 5.

Sometimes we learn more from failure than from success. On the surface these look like fun sea glass mugs, but on closer inspection (2nd picture) you'll see a crack on the handle. This same crack was multiplied... on ALL 3 MUGS 🥴

I tried drying these mugs quickly. Big mistake. BIG BIG MISTAKE. Oh well, pottery is humbling! I am over it and will make more. Many more, because I love them 💕 And look at that 3rd picture. That inside glaze is ammmmmazing!!! It's Spanish Moss, in case you wanted to know 😄

Back to the pottery wheel, I go.

Sea glass experiment!

Ive been wanting to try melting sea glass into my pottery since I started making pottery. And when I bought my own little kiln I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try.

It worked! The bowl ended up a bit on its side, so it isn't perfectly melted onto the bottom, but other than that, it did what I expected it to! Definitely doing it again!
