From printmaking and bookbinding to mixed media and handmade papers great for watercolour.

Sizes depend on the particular paper, however, for some of the larger papers, we cut down some papers to more manageable sizes!

🗓️ September at Blank Canvas

It took a little extra time to get our calendar out for September but it's finally here! And our October schedule will be available online next week.

With the craziness of back-to-school at the first of the month, we decided to plan for more classes at the end of September. We have kids, teen* and adult drawing courses, Cocktails & Crafts, every second Tuesday and more!

Dave has some daytime single watercolour workshops planned, and oil pastel class and a 3-session beginner watercolour course happening this month. See the Classes & Workshops page, "Independent Workshops" to register for his offerings.

Keep an eye on our website for more happening in October and November, including intermediate bookbinding and lino printmaking classes.

*Registration for the teen 6-week drawing course will be live in a couple of days.

Cocktails & Crafts will resume September 15th and will be offered every second Tuesday. Stay tuned for the different crafts we have planned.

The big reveal! What arrived on Tuesday?

Our canvas order! That's right, we're restocked on stretched canvas, Masonite, stretcher bars, cross braces and raw canvas (sold by the foot).

🖌️ Our last guided paint night of the summer is happening this Thursday, August 27th from 6:30-8pm in the Blank Canvas studio.

Led by Christina, each participant will choose from a selection of Island scenes, painting and then assembling a unique piece of art created by you!

This activity is family friendly, and an excellent way to cap off another great PEI summer before heading back to school. There are only 3 spaces left.

A huge thanks to my dad for building a door for our new Daniel Smith watercolour display. He has taken on many projects for the shop, and I am so grateful for his help ❤️

Also, our Daniel Smith selection continues to grow. Currently we stock 48 colours, with many more to be added between now and December.
