Lately, I have been trying to get a little out of my comfort zone and tackle subjects that I wouldn’t tend to paint. This piece is a perfect example, definitely not a typical choice of mine. Lots of different surfaces at play here. Thanks to the amazing Karen Margulis for the reference photo via her Patreon challenge. It was challenging, but I'm proud of myself for seeing it through.
