It’s been a little quiet over here at Frayed, but I’ve been busy behind the scenes! I finally finished my latest collage quilted wall hanging, and I couldn’t be happier with how this little bakeapple turned out.

From the tiny scraps of fabric used to build the berry to the bold stripes in the background, this piece was all about playing with texture and light. It feels like a little piece of the Newfoundland & Labrador marsh brought indoors. 🧡🌱

I haven’t settled on a name for this one yet—what do you think it should be called? Drop your suggestions below!

I keep seeing these charts floating around on social media, but I’ve never seen a Canadian edition for 2025 — so I made one! 🇨🇦

This comes up in conversation so often, and it always makes me pause. Most of us quilters would probably never charge $20 an hour — even though our time, skill, and creativity are worth every bit of that (and more). Each quilt holds hours of work, care, and love stitched into it, yet we so often undervalue what we create.

It’s a good reminder of just how much goes into handmade. ❤️🧵
