Before the doors arrive, is your jobsite ready for them?

Humidity can affect a wood door before it’s ever installed. A jobsite that’s too wet, too dry, or still undergoing moisture-producing work can cause solid wood doors and trim to swell, shrink, stick or move—so preparing the environment and checking conditions before installation matters.

A moisture meter helps take the guesswork out of the process: measure the wood, monitor the room, and give the product time to acclimate. Next week, we’ll continue with proper storage, handling and finishing to help protect your doors and trim after delivery.
