Tomorrow, something begins that the world hasn't seen in nearly two decades. And it won't happen again until 2044.

Starting February 17, 2026, Earth enters what astronomers are calling a "golden age" of solar eclipses. Over the next three years, six solar eclipses will sweep across the planet: three "ring of fire" annular eclipses and three total solar eclipses, all between 2026 and 2028.

Partial: Southern South America (Chile, Argentina), Southern Africa, and parts of the Indian/Atlantic Oceans.

During this event, the Moon will be slightly too far from Earth to fully cover the Sun, leaving behind a glowing ring of sunlight—one of the most beautiful solar sights possible 🔥

UPDATE This is a ridiculously long post. Please trust me, though these are all things that you need to know…..

I wanted to take a moment to update you on the current state of Arlene's Crystal Treasures. Over the past few months, I've been working diligently to navigate the complexities of the new US border policies and their impact on my business. This process has involved considerable introspection, and I've had to assess whether I wanted to continue operating under these conditions or explore alternative options. Unfortunately, the challenges posed by the new policies have left me feeling devastated, and it has taken some time to regroup.

♥️After careful consideration, I've decided to take steps to reinvent Arlene's Crystal Treasures, focusing on building a strong Canadian customer base and adapting my business model to the current landscape. I hope that you will continue to support me on this journey, although I acknowledge that the nature of our relationship may evolve.

For my valued customers in the United States, I want to assure you that the changes I've been forced to make are beyond my control. I appreciate your understanding and support during this transition. When I'm able to resume live broadcasts, I hope you'll join me not as customers, but as friends.

As some of you may be aware, the US government's introduction of new fees and tariffs on packages from Canada has significantly impacted my shipping operations. The increased costs and paperwork requirements have made successful shipping extremely challenging. It appears that the current policies are designed to discourage Canadian sellers from continuing to operate and to give up altogether. 

In light of these changes, I'm adjusting my business model to focus on the Canadian market. This includes pricing my products in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Previously, when my prices were in US dollars, I absorbed the provincial sales tax on every single order.

My immediate goals are to establish a strong Canadian customer base, launch a .ca website, and resume live broadcasts. If you know of any Canadian crystal enthusiasts who might be interested in my products, I'd appreciate your referrals.

Do NOT miss this!

I would guess that to most of you it seems that I have dropped off the face of the planet.

With how complicated it has gotten to ship to the US I have had to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what will work best to do that.

I haven’t really been very successful until now in finding someone willing to take the time to help me navigate this. I think I’m 99% there now and plan to update everyone in the near future.
Since we are so close to Christmas it is unlikely that I will do a live. (never say never tho 😁)

So please keep an eye out for the update which will outline how I plan to move forward with this business, etc.

Unfortunately no live tonight. My hands are so bad today that I can’t hold onto a thing.
Not ideal during a crystal show!

UPDATE: it appears that the shipping company that I use has fixed their software issue. I have shipped two small boxes as a test and will keep you updated. Hopefully that will go well and we’ll be back at it shortly.
