A few weeks ago, I saw a post about Michael LeFriend. He lives in Cape North and loves to get mail. I reached out to his Mom to see what he likes. She said that he was a social butterfly, which was the inspiration for this Easel Card.

I am thrilled to officially launch ‘Crafting for a Cause’ and ‘Crafting with Care’!

I love using my crafting skills to make items that bring comfort and joy to other people. This initiative encompasses everything from organized charity contributions to random acts of kindness and "pay it forward" projects. I have selected several wonderful charities to start with and I’m excited to expand this list over time.

Look for my Logo, which will have slight variations, depending on the Cause/ Project.

FINAL GIVE AWAY: Collage #13- Fall/ Autumn
(Sorry to post this now as summer is just taking hold but I have some timelines to meet)

Well here we are almost 1 year and 13 seasonal/ holiday collages later. My goal was to increase traffic to my page. Since my first collage posting in October, 2025, followers have increased by 33%. So thanks to all those who participated and shared.

I had a lot of fun searching out and creating 3 mini shadow boxes for each collage. Most of all, I loved reading all your comments. I do not know everyone but have had some great conversations with strangers who knew someone who I know. I even met a cousin that I had never met before. So it has been great.

I will receive comments for this collage (and any of the 12 previous ) until midnight Wednesday, Aug. 12. After that, every person who commented on any of the 13 collages, will get your name placed in a draw. If you commented on all 13, you will get 13 ballots. I will randomly choose a winner at the end of this week.

I will then contact the winner and arrange delivery. Unfortunately, I am not able to put it in the mail. I am a very small hobbiest and my followers are primarily family, friends, neighbours and people from my home town, North of Smokey.

This is not the end. I have some more ideas percolating such as “Craft for a Cause”, “The Lighthouse Keeper Club”, and a neighbourhood craft fair. In October, as part of the Huckle Buckle Festival in Ingonish, I am leading a craft night called “Gnomalicious” with profits going to a very good cause called Pinkalicious.

So stick with me, contact me if you would like for me to make any thing you see on my page. Even if you don’t see exactly what you are looking for, let me know as I love a challenge.

GIVE AWAY: Collage #11- Hello Summer.
I know that it is a bit early but I felt that we could all use a little hope of warmer days ahead.

For those of you new to my page, last Thanksgiving, I started putting together layered paper collages for each season and occasion as a give away.

All you have to do is make a comment to get your name in a draw to win the frame and 13 collages (there are only 2 left). It is not too late to go take a look at the previous 10 and make a comment. Your name gets entered for each collage you comment on (so up to 13 ballots).
