Who doesn’t love a design trick? 🪄

This bathroom had a standard tub surround in great condition—but since it’s a main floor bathroom used by guests, we wanted it to feel more elevated.

By taking the shower curtain all the way to the ceiling (in front of the bulkhead), it disappears completely when closed—giving the illusion of a more custom space.

Such a simple shift—with a big impact. ✨

Functional spaces deserve thoughtful design too, you know 💫

This laundry room isn’t just for laundry—it works hard for daily life. We added pantry overflow from the kitchen, a coffee bar with a fridge, and reorganized the storage to make everything more functional.

Since this is also the path to the main floor bathroom (and the garage), it was important for it to feel polished and welcoming. Big or small, every space can be intentional ✨

If you could only have one—would you choose the coffee bar or extra pantry storage? I’m going for the coffee bar… ☕️

The difference thoughtful design can make 🪄

This living room had great bones—but it needed direction. These clients also love to host, so creating plenty of seating was a priority. We went with a larger sectional, added three stools at the peninsula (which previously wasn’t used for seating) and incorporated three movable ottomans in the living room—creating flexible spots for gathering and conversation. Mission accomplished 🙌

Layout, scale, lighting, and texture all had to work together for the space to feel complete ✨

Good design isn’t about adding more.
It’s about making the right decisions so everything feels balanced and intentional.

Swipe to see how this space looked the first day I saw it post-flood!

Some projects come together exactly the way you imagined them. 💫
Others surprise you in the best possible way. 🤍

Project Royal Flush was one of those homes where every decision built on the last—layering materials, textures, and thoughtful details—until the entire space felt cohesive, calm, and reflective of the people who live there.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a closer look at the transformation, including before photos and glimpses of the process 🙌

Because beautiful finished spaces rarely happen by accident—they’re the result of hundreds of intentional decisions along the way.

Frames waiting on photos. Who’s with me? 🙋‍♀️

It’s been a busy week of client meetings, proposal writing, and selections. Looking forward to a weekend of Olympics + playoff hockey for my own kids. Happy weekend all! 🤍✨

Well, that is *almost* a wrap on Project Royal Flush 💫

I can’t wait to have it all properly photographed, but for now I leave you with this still shot of a corner of the kitchen. This stone is officially a favourite of mine 😍

More Royal Flush reveals to come soon, promise.

Happy weekend friends!

Project Royal Flush — the reason I’ve been a little MIA around here lately! ♥️♣️

I promised I’d share more about this one, so here we go.

The name has a story: “Royal” comes from Queen St., where this beautiful century home lives, and “Flush” because the whole project began after an upstairs bathroom flood that damaged the entire main floor. Not the way anyone wants to start a reno… but it’s turning into something really special. 💫

Over the past many weeks, I’ve been immersed in all the layers of this project—planning, cabinetry design, finish and fixture selection, furniture sourcing, site visits, client meetings, and all the little details that quietly bring a home back to life. I’ve also been working on a really cool natural stone backsplash that I can’t wait to share. It’s been a whirlwind, but such a good one. 🤍

And today is a big milestone: cabinetry install day! 🙌

I can’t wait to share more as things progress, but for now, here are a few snapshots of the designs and image boards to give you a peek behind the scenes. 🤍✨

It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes, but I popped into a past project recently and couldn’t help but admire this microcement wall—now complete with these beautiful hooks + shower towels! 💫

Microcement is one of my favourite finishes to consider for new projects—it’s seamless, durable, waterproof, and so versatile in color and texture 🤎🤍🩶 I truly love the texture that it brings but also that it feels timeless (something that’s important to me). While it’s definitely becoming a contemporary favourite here in North America, It has been a staple in European design for decades! 🙌

I’m always excited to keep experimenting with finishes like this in upcoming projects. In particular, Project Royal Flush has been keeping me busy, and I’m so excited to show you all the progress that’s been going on behind the scenes 👷🏼🔨✨🤍

Hi all!! It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a proper update here (other than in Stories), so here’s both! (plus a peek into my own home 👀)

This is our living/dining space, where we spend a lot of our time. I’ve thought about upgrading the dining table, but with three little kids it doubles as our craft station—and for now, it’s serving us just fine for both meals and messes 🙌

What I have been eyeing for what feels like forever are these five big windows. I keep wondering how much more finished and cozy the space would feel with drapery. I’m also ready to swap out the dining lights… and maybe tackle a few other lighting updates while I’m at it (💸)

On the work side, I’ve been busy with some amazing projects—including one I’m excited to finally share by name: Project Walton Ave 🩶. This new build is still in the early stages, and I’ve been deep into design direction, renderings, and finish selections to help bring my clients’ dream forever home to life 💫✨

I’ve pulled together some inspiration pics for my dining drapery in my Stories—come take a look and vote in the poll to help me decide if I should finally make it happen!
