Summer flavours were on the menu this week! We cooked up a fragrant kofta curry with basmati rice, mixed up classic floats, and finished with buttery cookie puff pastries. Not a bad way to spend an evening 🥰

Another fun night in the kitchen! 👩🏻‍🍳

Last night the kids learned how to make a giant cookie and chicken chow mein from scratch, and they did such an amazing job. I love seeing their confidence grow in the kitchen each week while they try new skills, flavours, and recipes. ❤️

In this week’s cooking classes students made shrimp pesto pasta completely from scratch blending fresh basil, garlic, arugula, parmesan, olive oil, and nuts to create their own vibrant pesto before tossing it with pasta and perfectly cooked shrimp. Watching them taste, adjust, and build confidence at the stove is always my favourite part.

For dessert, we assembled a beautiful meringue with fresh berries and whipped cream.

From knife skills to stovetop confidence to presentation, these classes are about more than just recipes. They’re building independence, creativity, and real kitchen skills they’ll carry with them.

For my combined February & March session, I will be blending the best of both months with the theme “Sweet & Savory Spring Creations!”. With a shortened February schedule, classes will run for the first two weeks of February and the last week of March, allowing me to create a fun, focused series packed with delicious recipes. Kids and teens will explore a mix of sweet Valentine-inspired treats, fresh spring dishes, and wholesome snacks all while building confidence, kitchen skills, and a love for cooking.

So proud of these young chefs today!

We rolled up our sleeves and made a full, from-scratch menu:

* Pearl couscous & kale salad with goat cheese
* Banana oat muffins
* Blueberry pie smoothie

There was chopping, mixing, tasting, teamwork, and lots of confidence building along the way. I love watching kids learn real kitchen skills, try new foods, and feel proud taking their creations home to share with their families.

Age 7–12 classes on Tuesdays are officially SOLD OUT for the rest of the month 🙌 Thank you so much for the support!
