A quick update for everyone who follows my work ❤️

I will no longer be accepting custom commissions on a regular basis, including pet portraits. I’m shifting my focus toward building my mixed media fine art collections; portraits, sketch work, original character paintings, and the new Christian collection.

Custom pieces will now be offered only during select holiday seasons, and I’ll announce in advance when I open a limited number of spots.

Keep an eye on this page, I’ll be sharing images from the new collections as they come together.

I’ve had this idea in my head for years and finally sat down and did it.

I haven’t picked up a pencil in a long time, and I definitely haven’t done a portrait like this in decades, so I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

It’s a mix of realism and a bit of whimsy; starting from a photo and gently exaggerating certain features to bring out personality. I’m calling this style BWpop: black and white with a pop of color.

I’m going to create a few more and really settle into the style, but this is something I can see offering down the road.

For now, I’m just enjoying the process and sharing the journey.

Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope 2026 is off to a gentle and creative start for you.

I have two shows coming up, I’ll drop the links for both below if you’d like to come say hi in person.

This year, I’ll be focusing more intentionally on my hand-painted character work and themed pieces. The first photo here shows the final wooden paintings of Fancy, Gus, and Clyde, the three characters at the heart of my upcoming children’s book series, which is officially underway.

The second photo is a peek into one of my themed paintings, from a magical creatures inspired scene, as an example of the kind of storytelling artwork I’ll be leaning into more this year.

I’ll also be starting YouTube “Paint With Me” videos and doing Facebook Live sessions. These will be relaxed videos for anyone who wants company while working on their own creative projects.

I’ll be sharing more details toward the end of December, but my top priority right now is finishing the first few books in my Horseshoe Dreams series. At the same time, the craft kits; now officially called Studio Kits, are getting a full makeover.
